Painting workshop with Barbara Davis
10:00 a.m.– 4:00 p.m. – Fellowship Hall
Barbara Davis’ landscapes and portraits of curb market scenes have captured the essence of life in Montgomery. This talented local artist is teaching a painting workshop. Congregation Art Show
9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – *Epworth Room*
The congregation art show will display the works of members of the congregation of FUMC across all mediums: pottery, oils, acrylics, quilting, woodcarving, pastels, etc. This will also include a photography show by the youth. For more information please contact Denise Weisenfeld. The Art Exhibit will be open on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
The Significance of Communion with Jason Borders

For Christians, then and now, mealtimes are occasions for experiencing oneness with Christ, oneness with each other, and oneness in ministry to all the world. Wednesday night supper. Picnic on the grounds. Worship. Communion happens at the table. Jason has an extensive educational background (BS in Physics from Millsaps College, MDiv from Candler School of Theology/Emory University, PhD in New Testament form the London School of Theology, Hebrew Ulpan (intensive language study) completed at the University of Haifa, Israel, Ordained Elder in the UMC, Professor of Religion (New Testament) in the Department of Religion at Huntingdon College, Chair of the Department of Religion at Huntingdon College, received an Excellence in Teaching Award from Huntingdon College and Exemplary Teacher Award from the General Board of Higher Education of the UMC.

Trumpet and Organ Trio
3:00 p.m. – Sanctuary
The Trio has performed trumpet and organ music throughout the Southeast, including the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC and the Atlanta Organ Festival. Joel Treybig
(Trumpet) is Professor of Music in the Belmont University School of Music in Nashville TN; Adam Hayes (Trumpet) is Associate Professor of Music at Berry College in Rome, GA; Andrew Risinger (Organ) is Associate Director of Music and Organist of West End United Methodist Church in Nashville, TN.
