“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others.” 1 Peter 4:10

Please prayerfully consider serving as a teacher or helping with another part of this exciting week.

Team Trainer (Teacher) Responsibilities include: Preparing one lesson and teaching children that Jesus loves them. Because we use a site based approach to learning, teachers only have to prepare one lesson for the entire week. Different groups of children come to you for the Bible lesson each day. Teachers are paired to team-teach.

Tot Trainer (2 Year Teacher) Responsibilities include: Preparing a short lesson for each day of VBS, accompanying children to special activities, loving and nurturing our youngest participants. This class is provided for children of VBS volunteers only.

Tween Trainer (4th & 5th Grade Leader) Responsibilities include: Accompanying children to every activity throughout the morning. Lead or assist with one Bible lesson during the week. Special activities are planned for this group.

Captain (Guide) Responsibilities include: Accompanying children to every activity throughout the morning, putting band-aids on hurt fingers and dirty knees, and sharing God’s love. Activities include: opening and closing assemblies, classroom time, snack, recreation, crafts and service projects. A youth helper will serve as your assistant. Guides should plan to be present all five days of VBS.

Power Projects (Crafts and Service Projects) Responsibilities include: Helping children prepare shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child and a special craft to take home.

VBS 2017 Hero Central Celebration (Wednesday Evening Helper) Responsibilities include: Working a shift at one of the inflatable games on June 14th. Great opportunity for working parents!

Take Down Unit (Friday Pack-Up) Responsibilities include: Helping take down decorations and pack up supplies noon-3:00 on Friday.

If you are a volunteer with a child who was not 3 before September 1, 2016, you may register yourself and your child at the link at the top of this page. Children age two and older will take part in VBS on their own schedule and should pay the $15 registration fee. The special VBS class for children age two and older and the nursery are provided on the day(s) their parents serve as VBS volunteers.
